Corrompue par son pouvoir, cette organisation élitiste réprime les tentatives de rebellions des spacenoïds par des méthodes extrémistes et meurtrières : en 0085, le gazage d'une colonie spatiale fait des millions de victimes, amenant la création de mouvements de résistance contre la Fédération, tels que l'AEUG (Anti-Earth Union Group). Kamille Bidan se retrouve pris en plein milieu du conflit entre les deux factions lorsque l'AEUG s'infiltre dans sa colonie pour voler les prototypes du RX-178 Gundam Mark II, un mobile suit créé par son propre père et testé par les Titans.
